I haven’t posted in over a month…the beginning of the semester and the two huge snow storms we just had have been keeping me quite busy. Philly broke a record; most snowfall ever here (at least in recorded history). So, on to the good stuff….
Since Nov. 1st, I’ve lost 35 pounds and am looking to get down to 210 which is another 25 lbs. or so and then re-evaluate of whether I want to lose more weight or work on other things, e.g. body building, flexibility, etc. So many choices, so little time. Many have asked me what I eat on my diet; well, that’s the first mistake, if you think you’re on a diet, you’re restricting your food choices. I really give myself no restrictions. I eat whatever I want but really concentrate on portion control. Additionally, the exercise is helping tremendously between my three nights per week of refereeing (all aerobic exercise) plus going to the gym on my exercise program through Temple. There really is no secret, if I were to say what has helped me the most:
1) Drinking lots of water, at least 72 oz/day
2) Exercising at least 20 min/day, 4 days/week of cardio
3) Portion control and eating much more protein

You don’t need any programs that charge a ridiculous amount of money, doctors, surgeries, etc. For those of you who know me, I’m not a big spender. My gym is $15/month and it has everything I need, cardio equipment, free weights, machines, etc.

The quest to become a PE teachers continues this semester; I’m taking Anatomy/Physiology, by far the hardest course I’ve ever been apart of between both undergraduate and graduate programs. It’s like learning a new language!

Thanks for reading, responses are always welcome!
